TONIGHT: Chorus Gallery - Four Flights show

Chorus Gallery over at Open bicycle will be having their second gallery opening tonight, where the works of four different artists will be shown together. The title for the show will be "Four Flights." The gallery will open from 8 til' 11pm.

There will also be a ride from Tosci Park, in central sq over to Open. The ride will leave around 7:15pm in order to get to the show before 8pm.

The Crystal Method

Last night, I went with my girlfriend to see the one, the only, the Crystal Method! It was pretty sick, DJ Melee opened for them at 7pm, and the party really kicked off when CM hit the stage at around 9:45ish. I had never been to an electronic show before, but I definitely recommend that everyone check the electronic show scene at least once.

Lexington, South Windsor, and Boston

Just got back from spending about a week in Lexington, MA and South Windsor, CT. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera, but the weather was awesome almost every day, made me wish I brought the bike.

I was back over at the Open shop for a while today, didn't get to do that much riding, but it was ridiculously hot out anyways, 91 degrees.

Slacking

Between helping Open prepare for their grand opening, and going to Connecticut for Easter, I've neglected the blog! 7 days later and I can finally get it together to post. I also got a chance to replace my chain/cog today, what a difference...

Anyways, Open had their grand opening on the 11th, and premiered a few movies, including Macaframa, Geekhouse, and their own home made video, shot by Stebs! Check him out over at Quarter Productions.

EKOTEK

My boy Erik, who I knew back in middle and high school, is currently down in Miami doing his thing with EKOTEK. EKOTEK is a one man mashup DJ, and his stuff is insane! A lot of the mixes use clips from songs that I hadn't heard in years, it really took me back. And the best part of all of this? EKOTEK has his entire album, titled "Tribute," free for download.

Sunday Brunch & Bike

So, I met up with a bunch of bike people this morning, had some delicious brunch (thanks!), and went on a really casual bike ride out to some pond in JP, I had no idea where we were, but it was super sunny and warm out, so I didn't really care.

OPEN Bicycle!

So, I've recently been spending a good amount of time over in Union Square at the new Open Bicycle shop! Between painting, sweeping, and hanging out, the shop has really grown on me, and I know that it will be putting a distinctive and positive new mark on the bike scene in Boston.

Open is currently OPEN in Union Square, Cambridge MA, they will be holding their grand opening on April 11th, be there or be square. Check them out at their website, http://openbicycle.com.

The world of rim hype...

As the long used Velocity Deep V rim becomes more of the standard in fixed gear street riding, a few competitors have begun to produce similar deep section (often deeper) rims. For example, check out the new and improved Dodici Rims. These rims are pretty beast with a wall height of 40.5mm.
